The
plain-air for artists is a traditional form of expression
of young creators. Until now in the course of the three additions
of the plain-air in the summer of 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003,
2004 and 2005 are participated
nearly 310 students from the universities in Veliko Tarnovo,
Sofia and Shumen.
The plain-air gives an opportunity for a meeting and expression of young people,
engaged with different arts - folklore /music, song and dances/ and fine arts
/painting, drawing, sculpture and fashion/ to get to know each other, to become
friends, to change ideas and information and to build formal and informal net
for an international cooperation of full value. The new in this addition of the
plain-air is the “international category”. For the first time in the frameworks
of the Sixth international folklore festival will participate artists /students
and young creators until 30 years old/, who are a part of the groups of the folklore
ensembles, participating in the festival.
REGULATIONS:
1.Participants
in the plain-air are young people until 30 years old, students and practising
artists.
2.The Foundation-Organizer gathers participants:
* For the national category - students through the universities in Veliko Tarnovo,
Sofia, Shumen and others.
* For the international category - young people until 30 years old / students
or practising artists/ through the ensembles, with which concludes a contract
for participation in the 6th International Folklore Festival Veliko Tarnovo
2003.
3.The Foundation implements the plain-air annually as a program in the frameworks
of the International folklore festival Veliko Tarnovo. For the year 2003 this
is the period from 19th to 26th of July.
4.For the first time in the year 2003 there will be an international category.
5.The Foundation provides for the participants one canvas with a frame, the
rest of the materials for work are provided by the participant himself depending
on his individual necessities .
6.The jury
is composed on the following principle: by one representative from the universities,
which students participate in the plain-air, one representative of the Foundation-organizer
and by one representative of the sponsors, depending on the number of the universities-participants
and the sponsors, the number of the jury varies.
In case, that the total number of the jury is an even number, it must be corrected
to an odd number with one more representative of the Foundation-organizer.
7.The jury works on the basis of a volunteer labour. The Foundation provides
two days stay of the members, who are outside Veliko Tarnovo / travel expenses,
accommodation and food /.
8.The jury adjudges awards in two categories:
international category:
* first award - 100 Euro
* second award - 75 Euro
* third award - 50 Euro
* special award - material / from the sponsor /
national category:
* first award - 200 leva
* second award - 150 leva
* third award - 100 leva
* special award - material / from the sponsor /
9.The Foundation-organizer receives by one painting from each participant free,
with which sets up an archive of the plain-air. The paintings become a property
of the Foundation-organizer, which uses them according to its aims and activities.
