"Els Bastoners" are a group of young people from Cantonigros, a small village in Catalonia /Spain/. Catalonia has a population of six million and is situated on the Mediterranean Sea. |
||
|
"El
Grup de Bastoners" was formed from young people who went to the
free-time group of the Collsacabra area, a group which organizes activities
for the village children in their free time. The dances are part of
the recovery of the folklore heritage of Cantonigros. The choreography
of these dances has been transferred orally from generation to generation,
down to our times.
